The City of Mississauga is devoid of news. Yes, there are a couple of sites, and a couple of reporters reporting news at those sites, but they focus on the bigger picture city initiatives (or, seemingly, lottery announcements) and not the individual community aspects.

Enter Applewood Today. We are an independent, hyperlocal publication, focused solely on Applewood, Mississauga. Having just launched in February 2025, we’re new, which means things are still a bit of a work-in-progress.

Our work is self-funded, meaning sometimes our posts are a bit irregular. If you’d like to support us, simply subscribe—it’s entirely free. One day, we may open up to paid subscriptions, but for now, your subscription is all we ask for.
