Bonnie Crombie loses in Applewood; PC hold onto power
Bonnie Crombie lost the provincial election to Silvia Gualtieri.

The unofficial results are out, and Bonnie Crombie, the former mayor of Mississauga, was unable to win the Mississauga East—Cooksville seat in the provincial election, which covers Applewood. Crombie lost to Silvia Gualtieri, the mother-in-law of Brampton Mayor, Patrick Brown.
Meanwhile, the PC Party were able to hold onto power in Ontario, winning a total of 80 seats, as of the last unofficial count.
