There are a wealth of writers and publishers covering the news of the GTA—from politics to restaurant reviews to weather and traffic. There are a few sites covering Mississauga in-depth—a city of over 700,000 people deserves as much, even living in the shadow of Toronto.
But, what most of those publishers miss is local news that affects all of us, every day. The Toronto Star isn’t going to write about the reconstruction of a playground in Mississauga. And blogTo won’t cover Balkan Grill, a restaurant on Fieldgate that opened in the second half of 2024.
These are the places we see every day, the small businesses we frequent and the parks our children play at.
